Price DDS created a legacy of nutritional science for us to draw upon.
One of his key discoveries was the role of fat soluble vitamins in insuring
mineral absorption and bone density. He discovered one vitamin that he
called activator X. This vitamin when consumed in the diet of animals caused
the reversal of osteoporosis. In another study he performed he separated
a litter of rats into three groups and fed them three different diets.
One group got rat chow feed, another got the rat chow feed with the X-factor
oil from one source the third group got the X-factor oil from two different
food sources. The 2nd group grew to three times the size of the first and
the third group grew to 5X the size of the first group. The 2nd group got
high vitamin butter with the X factor vitamin in it. The 3rd group got
the X-factor butter with X-factor Cod liver oil.

Price identified two sources of the X-factor vitamin that can be obtained
in the diet. One was the butter from grass feed cows. Not commercial, grain
fed, nor hay feed cows. But cows fed on young healthy green grass growing
in the spring and fall would produce and exceptionally rich dark yellow
butter that had the other vitamin he called the X factor. He also identified
Cod Liver oil to be a source for this rare vitamin and found he could cause
kids teeth to be remineralized. Even if they had cavities he could cause
these to reverse using this X-factor vitamin in their diet.
While I highly recommend this type of deep yellow butter to be in the
diet as well, it is not as readily available to people throughout the USA.
But Cod Liver Oil is. Most all Cod Liver Oils on the market today are feed
