SpringreenThe Cereal Grasses - A Complete Food or Food SupplementContains Every Factor Needed to Support LifeGRASS is the ONE FOOD that is A COMPLETE FOOD in itself and needs no other food to complement or complete it. Herds of cattle, horses, deer, bison, buffalo, antelopes, elephants, gazelles and giraffes have roamed the plains for centuries and lived exclusively on this ONE COMPLETE FOOD, the GRASSES. The GRASSES contain all elements needed to support life. In fact EVERY vitamin, amino acid, enzyme or mineral needed to support animal life that has been discovered in all other vegetation in the world can be found in the grasses. In addition many other FACTORS needed in the reproduction and growth of animal life have been proven to exist in the Grasses, but they have not as yet been ISOLATED or NAMED. The GRASSES also are the ONE FOOD that are NONTOXIC in any quantity.
As a source of man's food. The CEREAL GRASSES, OAT. WHEAT, BARLEY. CORN and RYE are the ones most directly used by man. If grown on HEALTHY, BIOLOGICALLY BALANCED SOIL they produce man's most perfect food, provided he does not destroy its valuable elements on the way to his table. Scientists claim that 90% of the staple foods needed to support the human :ace comes directly or indirectly from the grasses. These include all our grains, breads, cereals, starches, bakery products, sugars, candies, milk, cream, butter, eggs, chicken, lamb, beef, pork, veal and ice cream.
CharacteristicsThe GRASSES are MONOCOTS having only one stem. A characteristic of the grasses is that they JOINT. Science has found that the CEREAL GRASSES, when cut just as the first joint is coming to the surface of the ground, contain many times more vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, minerals and other unknown factors than the same grasses do a few weeks before or after that particular stage. That first joint contains the embryo of the culm of wheat (or other grain) which later becomes the Staff of Life if NOT DESTROYED in its preparation. Hence NATURE places an abundance of the life producing elements in the green leaf of the grass at that particular stage to be gradually transferred to the kernel of rye, wheat, etc., the grass then becoming only straw. Purpose of ExperimentThe accompanying pictures show the results of feeding the Dehydrated Cereal Grasses, the complete food, as compared to feeding some other excellent foods which however NOT COMPLETE FOODS in themselves. The experiments show that animals can live and thrive on grasses alone while other good foods are not complete in themselves and can not support life alone.
The cereal grasses used in these experiments were cut at the rapidly growing green first joint stage. They were dehydrated, but since it was to be the only food the animals ate, and since the guinea pig has a particularly large cecum necessitating bulk, the fiber was left in so as to furnish this bulk or 'roughage." These experiments were conducted by Richard Hoover, B.S. in cooperation with other scientists. Springreen is the trade name of products made from the dried extracted juices of the young green Oat, Wheat, Corn, Barley and Rye leaves grown on organically and biologically treated soils on a 510 acre farm near Kansas City, Missouri. No chemical fertilizers are used, nor are poisonous insecticides or pesticides used or needed. This soil for eleven years has been treated with barnyard fertilizer, cut-up weeds, leaves, egg shells, natural rock phosphates and seaweed. To each acre is also added periodically the excretions from the worm pit, a special area set aside as a compost pile. The worms are fed manure, straw, garbage and seaweed. This last organic vegetation containing minerals from the sea is not only fed to the worm pit compost pile, but is also drilled directly into the fields thus insuring that the grasses obtain every needed mineral. Then this seaweed, in powder form, is also added to the finished tableted product affording triple insurance of all minerals. Proof that this soil has reached a high degree of BALANCE is the fact that most of the dehydrated grasses grown thereon contain from 25 to 35% protein whereas this same soil before being organically treated produced grasses containing only 6 to 9% protein as do most mid western soils today. A spectrograph of our soil shows over 27 minerals. Springreen is the dried extracted juice made from the young rapidly growing green grass leaves of the cereal grasses cut at the first joint stage with about 93% of the fiber removed. The grasses are ground up, the juice expressed out and then chilled to 31°F. It is then dehydrated by our quick roll-vacuum dried method which retains a maximum amount of the enzymes, co-enzymes, minerals, mineral activators and amino acids. Immediately after drying it is ground into a fine powder and stored in air-tight containers at sub zero temperatures until needed for tableting. When tableted the oxygen- is- removed from each bottle and replaced with nitrogen. After packaging it is still kept refrigerated until shipped though the vitamin and enzymes loss without refrigeration after bottling is infinitesimal. Once the bottle is opened however there will be much less loss if kept refrigerated. When traveling it's best that not over a month's supply be carried if opened. If unopened the loss in 6 months would be negligible even though not refrigerated.
The ideal food - As a supplementSpringreen makes the ideal Supplement to your diet because:
A NATURAL FOOD CONCENTRATE - for use as A Dietary SupplementAvailable in both powder or tablet form is a blend of the dried extracted juices of the young, green, cereal grain shoots; oats, wheat, barley, rye and corn (92%), plus much lesser amounts of the dried juices of buckwheat, alfalfa, and beets, plus seaweed (8%). The juices are evaporated to dryness at temperatures low enough to RETAIN a maximum proportion of the powerful ENZYMES, AMINO ACIDS VITAMINS and MINERALS naturally occurring in YOUNG RAPIDLY GROWING GREEN CEREAL GRASSES. Springreen gives you –
Instead, Springreen gives you a vitamin, mineral, enzyme, amino acid COMPLEX with no man-made or chemical additives. The dried juices of green vegetation are from Nature's own laboratory where sunshine, rain, air, and special organically treated soils create a natural food BALANCED in NATURE'S LABORATORY. Why use CEREAL GRASSES to supplement man’s diet?
In 1934 a U.S. Patent was granted covering the discovery that as the FIRST JOINT of a cereal grass emerges through the ground the YOUNG, RAPIDLY GROWING GREEN GRASS LEAVES have reached the zenith of their nutritional power and contain much greater potencies of ENZYMES, AMINO-ACIDS, VITAMINS and MINERALS than they will contain even a week later. This is because the FIRST JOINT contains the embryo of the future culms of wheat, oats, rye, corn, etc. As the kernels develop they gradually absorb the valuable nutrients from the green grass, leaving only straw. Only by harvesting at this stage (which lasts but 4 days) can we obtain grasses containing this high potency of nutrients balanced BY NATURE. This harvesting stage for rye, wheat, oats and barley comes in late March and early April, when the weather is extremely changeable - from sunshine to rain, or frost and snow. The result is that 50 to 75 % of the crops are never harvested, thus materially increasing costs. "Good things are hard to get" but what little we do harvest is worth every cent it costs. We believe no other product will give so much nutritionally for so little. Spreengreen is a natural food concentrate.Grown on organically treated HEALTHY SOIL FREE from chemical fertilizers and insecticide sprays. CONTAINS NUTRITIONAL ELEMENTS NEEDED BY MAN BALANCED in and by NATURE'S LABORATORYQuantity Consumption NecessaryThose who prefer a product derived from Nature's Laboratory must be prepared to consume its bounties in quantity as a Food. Since Nature does not concentrate her vitamins, a larger number of tablets must be consumed than where high potency synthetics are used. A portion of daily dose should be consumed with each meal, either chewed or swallowed whole. Those who want higher potency should remember that the grasses contain all elements needed and are non-toxic in any quantity, so determine your own potency by doubling or tripling the daily dosage. One 8 ounce glass of concentrated Springreen juice makes 30 7-grain tablets. The German scientists who first experimented with the cereal grass juices, with such excellent results, used two to four 8-ounce glasses per day, which would be equivalent to 60 to 120 tablets of 7 grains each. Hence, best results often will be obtained when we are willing to forget conventional use of a few tablets daily. Complexity of Substances in Natural FoodsSpringreen is not just a vitamin and mineral supplement. Springreen furnishes not only ALL, KNOWN VITAMINS that man has been able to identify and isolate but also those as yet unidentified but just as vital factors all balanced and activated with their natural enzymes. Dr. Tom Spies, M.D., puts it this way:"The respiration and growth of cells involve the synthesis of complex substances from simpler chemical compounds. By means of substances called enzymes the cells are able to perform these functions without increased temperature and pressure. Enzymes are catalysts produced by living cells from combinations of organic substances including the vitamins. These enzymes retain activity even when separated from the living cell. When a dietary deficiency of vitamins has existed over a long period of time a biochemical lesion develops in the cell often severe enough to cause functional disturbances. If the deficiency is not corrected, these disturbances become more widespread and eventually give rise to an infinite variety of symptoms forming a complex clinical picture. Finally, severe or persistent alterations lead to structural changes in the tissue, and ultimately the diagnostic lesions of a deficiency disease are likely to appear. The complexity of the subject is greatly increased by the fact that the several groups of the various vitamins usually occur together in nature and the failure to provide one usually results in failure to provide many. Then, one has arising from a dietary fault innumerable, , vague, indefinite symptoms coming from cells affected because a number of catalysts are not working efficiently" A Well-Ballanced Natural SupplementIn Springreen #33 we have tried to bring you a potent dietary supplement derived from natural food concentrates without the addition of synthetic or crystalline vitamins or INORGANIC MINERALS, except the addition of ascorbic acid to prevent the oxidation of those more elusive enzymes and vitamins while the Product is being ground and tableted.
